Sweet Jersey

This is my sweet little neice born November 25th, 5lbs 9oz. Yesterday was her "special day" she recieved a healing blessing and a name and blessing. Jersey was born with a condition called missing pulmonary valve syndrome. Bless her little heart (literally) her mama dressed her in as much white as she could for her blessings, with Wilma the platypus as company.
She will have open heart surgery tomorrow, the first of many throughout her life as each
"repair" wears out. Her doctors were hoping to put it off for a while until she got a little bigger and stronger but Jersey decided that sooner was better than later. She has a whole herd of doctors that are caring for her and we know she is in good hands. We also know she is in Gods hands and trust in His will.
My own heart breaks for my neice, Heidi, who is her mommy. I cannot begin to imagine how hard this is for her to see her sweet baby hooked up to so many machines, wanting nothing more than to hold her for longer than a minute or two. I hope she knows how many prayers are and have been offered in her behalf. We love you!

Oh Kim she is beautiful. I have a niece who is 24 now and she had open heart surgery when she was 2 months old for something similar. Amazing what they can do for these littlest of patients. She will be in our prayers.
